2015 proved to be an important year in the tax-exempt sector for organizations and practitioners, with both groups facing new tax compliance changes and challenges from the IRS and others. From recent court cases in the area of conservation easements, to new regulations in the nonprofit hospital sector, to concerns regarding donor advised funds and the conversion of for-profit to nonprofit universities, 2015 brought forward a number of significant issues that should be on every CPA’s radar as we move into 2016.
With things moving fluidly in this area, alliantNational (alliantgroup’s national office) would like to invite you to a special, complimentary webinar covering the most important topics in the exempt organizations space as CPAs and tax practitioners help their clients prepare for 2016.
During this one-hour session, our experts will answer your questions and review and analyze important compliance topics such as:
- The year’s important administrative guidance, exemption denials and revocations
- PATH legislation’s key exempt organization and charitable provisions recently signed into law
- Court decisions including new developments regarding conservation easements
- IRS priorities and organizational changes in the exempt organizations area
- High-profile areas for the coming year, including conversions of for-profit colleges to nonprofit status, museums and charitable giving
- New streamlined application process for EOs and its impact on the Service and taxpayers
